Can you avoid the BS ticketmaster fees by buying tickets at the venue window? Specifically for the Palladium Ballroom in Dallas. A $36 ticket is now $52 and they are now charging an "order processing fee" on top of the usual convenience charge.

And yes, I am contacting the venue but they are only open on show days which isn't everyday.

hate hate hate ticketmaster

You could have if you and many others would have supported Pearl Jam a few years back.

$70 Buy It Now + $5 shipping = $75 shipped to your door.

Of course you're buying from those evil scalpers, so it might make you feel dirty that you're saving $30 by using them

Scalper! Did you call me a scalper? Listen gentlemen, I perform a service and the service costs money. Now do you want the tickets or don't you?

I wish America could have a do-over with respect to that.

I assumed Toadies (which I knew wasn't sold out and likely had tickets floating around on Ebay for cheap), but then checked TM's listing for Palladium and the price didn't match up. Curiosity got the best of me at that point and I checked the other show prices.

Sundays are slow OK?

Seeing that 70$ link makes me pretty angry, but I guess I have no one to blame but myself.

HATE Ticketmaster. Not only are the fees ridiculous, but if you use the website, you will ALWAYS get crappy seats. It doesn't matter if you log on the SECOND the tickets go on sale. Believe me, I've tried it. A few times. I mean seriously, is it really possible that one second into the process rows A-Z are completely full? Doubtful. So I've found two solutions: 1) Avoid ticketmaster shows and/or purchasing if at all possible; 2) If you can absolutely NOT avoid using ticketmaster, CALL THEM. Get your tickets over the phone. The guy on the phone will actually look for the best seats and give them to you. Not to sound like a snob, but I HATE getting crappy seats. If I pay cheap for them (like lawn seats), that's one thing, but I DON'T want to pay the same $80 someone thirty rows ahead of me did to sit in row ZZ on the far left with an obstructed view.
