A&M alum aren't running around trying to insert references like this in everything they do. Such examples are few and far between. (A REAL one that comes to mind is Futurama. The dorm in the Mars U episode is Davis Gary, one of the animators used to be a poster here.)

Do you guys really think that Stanton ran around to the tech directors at Pixar asking them what they think he should name the main character of his film?

Another movie claim to fame that's actually there: Julia Roberts, b/c of her relationship with Lyle Lovett, dubbed in College Station as the name of a small town in "My Best Friend's Wedding."

This Pixar rumor is nonsense. Be impressed that A&M has such a program that so many former students are hired by Pixar...

if you zoom in and enhance the second picture, the horns don't curve back in towards the head. different shapes for the nose, too. wise up, crackheads.

it would make a lot more sense to zoom out on the big one than it would to zoom in on the small one... and when you do that they look the exact same... you want to know why? Because they are the exact same boat!!!!

I'm not going to say one way or the other on Sully, but that boat in troy is definitely not saw 'em off.

In that episode of Mars U, there's a showing of Fry moving into the Financial Aid dorm, which looks strikingly similar to the corridor-style dorms at A&M...specifically, it was an homage to Davis-Gary or Crocker or one of those, as the guy who drew it both went to A&M and was a poster here on TexAgs years ago, and made sure to mention it.

I would like the Saw 'Em Off emblem... if I saw it only when we were actually playing texas. As a year-round theme, it is effing stupid.

It doesn't look like the same ship in the two pictures above. The nose of the ships look different as do the sides with the circular objects are under the oars.

Well hell redd, it certainly looks like a debate. Do you know what a debate is? Some people are claiming that there's a saw'em off on one of the boats. Others are saying they are the same boat. I don't really know or care, but those two pictures look like different boats to me.

Look at them again. You can see that the large picture has large greenish round objects under the oars (they appear to be shields). In the smaller picture, it appears that the boat does not have them. In fact, you can see the round objects on other boats around it including the one behind it (the farthest away). The boat in question does not appear to have them. Now maybe it does, and maybe it doesn't. But it sure doesn't look like it to me.

Now you guys can carry on with this meaningless argument.
