.....and what's the title?

It may be The Mamas & The Papas, it sounds like them and it's from the '60s-'70s.

The version I heard recently is a cover.

The lyric that sticks in my head is "Young girls are coming to the canyon..."

It comes toward the end of the song.

It was a fairly popular song, but I can't remember much more about it.

Thanks.

That's it, one of their lesser hits.

Thanks, I don't know who did the cover I heard.

It was a solo female singer with a modern sounding accompaniment.

This is the only reference to a recent cover that I can find. Sorry, male vocalists...

Maybe someone was singin' falsetto.

"Young girls are comin' to the canyon
and in the mornin' I can see them walkin'
I can no longer keep my blinds closed
and I can keep myself from talkin'

cloudy waters cast no reflections..."

One of my favorite M&P songs; from the first Golden Era album.

Finally, something FF didn't know!!

That one chord change right after the third line of each verse is a little harsh on your ear, but the title line in the chorus rings out like an anthem.
