the carride from houston with that guy in the car was one of the sh*ttiest things i have ever experienced.

you know...i was thinking the other night when i started that beavis and butthead thread and there was that Reverend Horton Heat video on. its kind of weird that i originally saw that b&b when i was in early HS and i watched Taz rocking out. Who would have known that 7 or 8 years later I'd hang out and drink with the guy both when he played with the Rev and with BB. Weird.

when i was promoting at concept (with AggieOO) the 'dont try this at home' tour with steveO, ryan dunn, preston lacy, and some others came around.

i had to go down and pick up steveO at the airport in houston and drive him back to CS.

As i met him wandering aimlessly through baggage claim, the first thing out of his mouth was 'can i get some snooters.'

Got in the truck where he proceeded to crank 'shout at the devil' at full volume and smoke cigarettes in my car all the way to CS.

It was an experience for the most part that just turned into an annoyance after about 10 minutes.


on the other hand ryan dunn was cool as sh*t.

definately saw the drugs and stuff that night, those guys can definately put it down. The hotel stuff doesnt suprise me one bit.

They all took a small fee and proceeds from the first movie. Except one of them.
He took $250k, with no residuals from the movie.

All of them made well over $1MM, except Steve-O.

they did many things at the hotel that we ended up paying for...charged extra rooms, food, trashed rooms, etc, etc. all stuff that wasn't in the rider or contract.

but the worst thing was that one of them took a **** on the floor between the rooms and then they proceeded to walk through it and track it all over the rooms...carpets, bedding, etc.

knowing what went on backstage, i can only imagine the stuff that went on in those rooms. i've tour managed for bands and been at plenty of after parties at hotels with nationally touring acts. I've seen a lot, and the crap they did was ridiculous. Its one thing to be booked and do your "jackass" stuff on stage when you are being paid for it, and its a completely different thing to be doing that stuff under the other circumstances. In the end, their management ended up reimbursing for all the costs incurred that weren't in the contract or rider.

i personally would have never even booked that show, but it wasn't my decision.

b/c the girl probably got in with a fake id. its not that uncommon for people under 21 to have a fake id.
