my boss gave me this riddle and I can't figure it out.... Please help:

If a hen and a half can lay an egg and a half in a day and a half, how long would it take a monkey with a wooden leg to kick the seeds out of a dill pickle?

The ability of a monkey to kick accurately enough to hit a pickle, with enough force to remove the seeds from it, when launching from and kicking with the same leg is highly questionable, to the point of near impossibility. Therefore, I, like Fred reach the same conclusion that the question is impossible to answer, but for the reason that the monkey is unable to kick the pickle accurately or with sufficient force.

THerefore, 1 hen would lay 1.5 eggs in 1.5 days, because half a hen can't lay an egg, because half a hen is a dead hen, and dead hens don't lay eggs.

The 1 live hen can lay an egg and a half because the 2nd egg could be halfway out at the 1.5 day mark.

The monkey would kick the dill pickle into the ground, causing it to explode and release all the seeds. This could be done in 2.005 seconds.

The monkey killed the hen's mother to see the guy she met at her sister's funeral again.

Why are we assuming the monkey is kicking the crap out of the dill pickle with the wooden leg? It just says he has a wooden leg, not that he was kicking the pickle with the wooden leg. Maybe he used his good leg?

there's no way he could balance himself well enough on the wooden leg to kick with the good one....that's just silly.

let's not forget that monkeys often balance themselves on their front two arms as well, so he could make a tripod with his peg leg and his two front arms and kick with his good leg.
