Are the schools like Texas A&M CC and others have the same right to consider themselves Aggies as those who are from College Station?

I know a guy that went to Texas A&M University-Kingsville and tells everyone that he is an Aggie and even has an A&M ring.

Thoughts?

TAMU Qatar is also considered to be part of the main campus, and they get Aggie rings.

Kingsville, Corpus, Commerce, etc. do not get Aggie rings. They get their own rings, if any.

Alot of the ut satelite campus people consider themselves Longhorns as well. I was talking to a guy going to ut arlington and he was telling me its just an extension and UT likes to spread their campus out. Of course hes full of crap. Im sure the people in Austin dont feel that way.

be careful with the terminology. Galveston and Qatar are considered satellite campuses (they get Aggie rings, have to fulfill the same requirements as Aggies in College Station), whereas Commerce, CC, Tarleton and the like are considered system campuses and have their own colors, mascots, etc and are not considered Aggies. they do not get Aggie rings.

if the other A&M or UT campuses were "the same" they'd have the same mascot. you can't be a javelina or a roadrunner and say you're the same as an aggie or longhorn.

CS is not the only real A&M, Galveston and I suppose Qatar are just as much aggies as those in college station

Without the Chicken, Aggie football, Taps, etc. they can't claim to be real Aggies.

Galveston and Qatar are only administratively the same as CS. Being an Ag doesn't have anything to do with administration.

Umm ok i went to A&M Galveston and I was there for every football home game....we get season tickets too ya know.
Ive been to the tap and the chicken many times, I also went to Ring Dance
I have a degree and an aggie ring...Im an Aggie

My sister got her degree from A&M-Corpus Christi and even she doesn't consider herself an Aggie. When my mom says that she has two Aggies, my sister always corrects her. She always says she's an Islander. So, if they don't even think of themselves as Aggies, so be it.

A&M Corpus gets a totally different degree than A&M Galveston and gets none of the priveldges A&M Galveston gets
Land grant and Sea Grant= A&M CS and A&M Galveston

A&M Galveston doesn't have an athletic program does it? I think that's the criteria for being able to call yourself an Aggie. If the campus has a mascot, that's what you are.

A&M Galveston has no other mascot but the Aggies, unlike other branch campuses of A&M (ie corpus christi is the islanders)
If you want season tickets at A&M galveston, you are buying tickets to go to CS and watch games up there, A&M Galveston does have a crew team and a sailing team

Don't get me started on this bull****. My roomates brother went to galveston and he used to pull ****ing front row second deck 50 yardline tickets. AS A ****ING FISH! I CAN'T EVEN GET GOOD SEATS AS A SENIOR.
