I have a pair of Oakley M-frames I use for work. I'm very careful with them and they get left in the pickup, so it's unlikely i'll lose/break them. Everywhere else, cheapies, less than $20. Had the most luck finding good shades at New York & Co.

Oakleys, $140, going on three years.
The $20 Foakleys I had prior to that lasted a few months before the wire frame broke.
The $140 Oakleys I had prior to that lasted 2 years before the spring hinge gave way.

The SIL works for Fossil so I get free ones. The rib has about 12 pair of sunglasses. I had several, but I tend to throw them in the car seat as I get out and then sit on them when I get back in.

I wear polarized Revo sunglasses that cost around $200. I usually wear the same pair for at least 3 years, so it's worth the splurge.

Total waste of money unless you have the cheap ones. If they block out the sun, then they're doing the job.

3rd pair of Arnette miniswinger polarized $85 had for 2 years now, first two pair the polarization was flaking off, returned both times and got new ones, now nothing wrong for about a 18 months

I used to sell them so my pairs were cheap and/or free. That being said...I would drop $300 on another pair in a heartbeat.
Unless you need them for a true sports application Oakleys' are just not that great.

Costa Del Mar since I do a ton of offshore fishing. Spending the entire day outside on the water, it is almost imperative that you have a good set of glasses. I think they were around 150 bucks.
