you know which ones I'm talking about. We have a meeting the other day, and we are introducing ourselves and another Aggie from Cincy is in this meeting.

He notices my Aggie ring and whoops. Please for the love of God, do not bring out your Aggieness in the business world or around people who don't give a ****.

It is downright embarrassing.

oohhhh I sat near one of those at the Rangers game the other night.

And on our way out there, some beach in a beat up come dumpster hung herself out the window to honk and give me a gig'em

I normally just introduce myself. I never whoop in public unless it is at an overtly Aggie event.

a whoop in any public setting is downright gay. nobody wants to hear a whoop when your order is ready at double dave's.

I hate that crap. After the meeting go introduce yourself. Doing that in a business meeting is like ripping arse.

The only time that it is appropriate to whoop is when you are around a bunch of other Aggies who won't think that you're a total freak. If you're around a bunch of other Aggies then meeting another Aggie is not a noteworthy occurance, and therefore is not worth whooping over. Thus, whooping because you meet another Aggie is stupid under any circumstances.

In conclusion: that guy = total homo

Agree with the wedding thing. I was at one a few years back when all the groomsmen whooped at the altar as the ceremony ended.

There will be no whooping at my wedding.

Very doubtful there will be the war hymn played either...or for that matter, any other reference to A&M besides my ring...and the dozens in the crowd.

Yes it's okay to say Howdy and introduce yourself, and is not only okay, but I think that's what all people SHOULD do.

But yeah whooping at anything other than an Aggie event is pretty gay.

Better not be whooping at my wedding, but unfortunatly I don't think that will be I can stop it. War Hymn will probably be played at the reception.

There is no way in hell the War Hymn will be played at my wedding.

The War Hymn at wedding receptions is fine. It's a party.

The best wedding I've been to was up in Rhode Island, where the Aggie groom was marrying a Harvard alumnus bride.

All the Haaaahvaaahd kids got up and sang their song (with only about two thirds knowing the words) and then the Ags got up and did the War Hymn. It was fun and entertaining for all in attendance.

If an Aggie is getting married and there are a bunch of Ags in attendance, I don't know why so many Ags would apparently be ashamed of including a little Aggie Spirit in the celebration.

What's even worse is how the dorkiest/cheesiest/most obnoxious Aggies are the ones who so often make it known to others that they are Aggies.

Oh well, it's just like dealing with that embarrassing relative.

I lived in Virginia for several years, and would always let out a 'Gig'em' if I saw another Aggie around town or in DC.

We played the War Hymn at our reception. Lots of aggies in attendance and it was fun.


Now, i am divorced. hmmmmmmmmm
