Me and my wedding party wore Black Wrangler Riattas instead of denim. We also wore black felts, boots and belts.

Needless to say, we're all country and we all looked good. Wearing Dark blue denims never even crossed my mind. No, we did not wear those stupid ass "tassels" or whatever they are. At a lot of redneck weddings I've been to, the men are wearing this stupid thing. It's like they're trying to blend country with American Indian.

Roper...I'm from a town with about 700 people in it. I'm a girl. My vote is definitely no. I also hate my men in abercrombie holes in their pants front tuck type styles. I DO like a guy to have a classic look. Nice jeans and a polo. And in a dressier case either slacks with a button up shirt and tie or a regular suit.

Nothing screams I DUN GOT MY GED like wranglers and a felt hat. My opinion is because all the guys I went to high school with that graduated high school and went to A&M or SHSU dressed normal. All the guys that wore wranglers and cowboy hats everywhere are now still in Normangee working for their parents and married to their fat wife with 8 kids.

I also know many many Wrangler-wearers that have Master's degrees and PhDs.

P.S. I am very educated, have a decent IQ, a great job, and wear Wranglers and boots to work everyday. Now, if I were a lawyer or Dr, that may not fly. Thank goodness I work in Construction!

And actually AgGrad, I went to a wedding on the beach last year where the groom DID wear flip flops and shorts. It was awesome!!!!! SCREW SOCIETY AND THEIR PARAMETERS!

well I'm not saying that you cant be educated or get a degree if you wear wranglers and such. My point was that IMHO it makes you LOOK uneducated. Someone that wears a sharp suit impresses me and looks like they probably have a good job and came from a good school.

Wranglers and a suit jacket looks like the local farmhand is going to a big fancy steakhouse. I mean thats just my impression. I'm no one important myself but you asked for a small town girls opinion so you got it. It might be harsh but I dont soften my opinions.

I know a lot of guys that wear wranglers and have a great education and i respect them very much. All i said was the tuxedo tihng is tacky because it mixes two different styles. However I think wranglers are sexy on some men.

I never liked the skirt and boots look, but if the girl can pull it off, I'm more interested in what's under the skirt anyway

oh and for the record. I don't mind wranglers by themselves. I was mostly takling about the wranglers/tuxedo thing.

I actually dated a guy who only wore wranglers to school. They werent that bad b/c they werent tight or anything so they looked like normal jeans and he wore polos and not like goofy shirts or anything. So I have nothing against wranglers....just against wranglers/tuxedo. It looks goofy.

look. He asked my opinion. I didnt realize it was only for people that were either going to say that It looks great or lie about it if they thought otherwise.

If I had made a thread asking people what they thought about me wearing a skirt and boots then I would expect a few responses to say its slooty. I know that to some people it does look that way.
