Why do people put K&N air filter stickers on their cars?

Because it makes the car go faster...
they think that if you get a sticker w/ purchase, they need to do something with it.
Yeah, same with Flowmaster.
I had both a K&N Filter and a Flowmaster installed on my last car but had nary the slightest inkling to put their stickers on the thing.

had a small one next to the small flowmaster sticker on my jeep wrangler when i was 16.
so my answer is, because they are 16.
Same reasons people add fart cans, oriental writing, 'wings' and ground effects to imports.
Sometimes its hard for people to understand that no matter what you do, its still just a fancy lawn mower engine.

My car has a K&N, flowmasters, and numerous other things, but no stickers. That's just tacky.

i now drive a car that doesn't need an aftermarket muffler to sound mean.
BTW, my flowmasters are the closest to what came stock on my car and is still available.

I never got the sticker thing, either. Oakley, Rockford Fosgate, etc...
It just screams "break into me and steal stuff".

we all know that the cool kids in high school only had Jerry Jeff Walker and Join GCCA stickers on their trucks.
Cuz racing stickers add a couple of horses each.
