That's not even close to being the same. Those names are much more widely used and are spelled the same way they sound.

For a really good inexpensive alternative, I suggest Svedka. Distilled 5 times. With a price 40% lower than Kettle One and a hang tag where Wine Spectator rated it very highly it was hard to pass up. So I decided to give it a try.

Wine Spectator compared it to Grey Goose and the similarities are obvious. This Vodka is extremely smooth with a round wheat flavor. It's a very supple, delicious drink and at the price it cannot be beat!

Primetime on ABC did a story on vodka a few weeks ago. They did a blind taste test with about 10 admitted vodka snobs. Most said that they preferred GG or Ketel. Not a single one of them correctly picked the vodka they preferred and more often than not, picked the less expensive types like Smirnoff or Absolut as the best tasting.

Vodka has no real taste. You can think it does all you want and go on spending tons more money, but i'll get just as drunk on Smirnoff and save tons of cash.

funniest thing is at bars, unless you watch them pour it, they'll give you well if you order patron, grey goose or something like that.

The bartender at the sports bar I managed used to do that on vodka drinks ordered from the dining room...Owner looked the other way...

No, that's the point. I don't think there's a significant taste difference especially once you add some lime.
