How long do you want to ignore this user?
My brother and his girlfriend are coming from Oklahoma to visit and go to S-bahn in New Braunfels. I went once as a child but haven't been since.

Any advice of "can't-miss" rides? Any places I can find a coupon? I've heard I can bring a cooler with my own food and beer; is that true?

Thanks.

Don't go.

Get drunk and float the river.

I really prefer staying at the 2 parks that are by eachother rather than the older one. The rides are newer and better. and park over there too.

I think most Texas Sonics have discount tickets for Schlitterbahn right now. Don't know for how much though.

go on a weekday- otherwise expect huge lines- also, to avoid aforementioned lines, go to the old park. you can take coolers with food and no glass. dont think beer is allowed yet.

The river rides at the old park are a must. The master blaster, dragon blaster, and boogie bahn are all musts too but expect long lines, especially for master. I recommend going to any long wait rides either shortly after the park opens or a few hours before close. The wait time tends to be shorter then. Also, the lazy river wave pool is good. The only ride that I would recommend avoiding would be the family blaster. The wait is usually very long and the ride itself only lasts for about 30 seconds.

WCrew04 hit the highlights. My sister went last week and they rode five rides in 8 hours. This weekend may be even worse with school starting the next week.

If you can avoid going on a weekend, do it. Otherwise, arrive before they open and hit the Master Blaster and stuff first. Then spend the rest of the day in the old park. The tube rides in the old park are the best IMO anyway. Of course, they dismantled the Schlittercoaster which is disappointing.

I loved going to Schlitterbahn in junior high and high school. Chicks in bathing suits were great.

Go before school gets out or after it has started back during the week.

Any other time and it is not worth the price of admission unless you like just hanging out in lines or in the lazy river.

We have season passes and have found going first thing on Sunday is nice. That's the time to hit the rides as the lines are shorter. You can't bring beer in, however.

bearamedic99, I suggest you go to the river if there aren't any kids in your party. I went to S-bahn a few years ago when I was about 20 with other people of similar age and it just isn't the same as when you're a kid. Also, we were the only people that age there. The only people that go to S-bahn are kids and their parents, which leaves a pretty significant age gap. In summation you're probably too old for it.

Me, my wife, and her little brother went about two weeks ago. I second the advice to go to the new side first and park over there. There are more tables and more rides on that side of the park.

If you want to ride the Master Blaster, make it a point to do it at 10 AM. That's the first time I have ever waited two hours for a ride and that was only because it was the last thing we did that day. For that matter, don't stop riding the rides until at least 1 PM. There's no reason to take a break for lunch during the period when you can actually get on a ride in a somewhat reasonable amount of time.

It doesn't matter what day of the week it is right now. Everyone is getting in their last trip for the Summer and that place is freaking crowded after 11 AM. We got there at 10 AM (when it opens) and there were 10 to 15 minute long lines by 10:30.

I love going there but I have been going since I was a kid. The new parks, Blastenhoff or Surfinburg have a really fun "lazy" river. It is actually really fast and is pretty fun. The old park has a lot more rides but is a little more confusing to get around.

YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING BEER IN! If they find it, they will either tell you to hike back to your car and put it there or take it away. They search your stuff so you can't slip it in. You can however bring lunches and drinks and stuff...I would suggest that!

Sprite cans in the New Braunfels area have a $10 or $15 discount on them.

You cannot bring beer in. However last time we went, we put vodka in water bottles and brought in some gatorade also. Mix a little(lot) of vodka in the gatorade bottles and your good to go. Vodka and gatorade is a pretty good mix if you are going to be out in the sun all day.

Get there when it opens and immediately go to the master blaster ones in new parks. Otherwise you will have to wait in line for hours.

I'll be going next Tuesday.

I did suggest the river (I go monthly in the summer) but my fiancee and my bro's g-friend have never been to S-bahn so that got overrode. I am a little worried that I may be a little old for this but we'll see.
