Just finished the Harry Potter series that a coworker recommended, it was ok. Before that I reread the Jack Ryan series for the 5th time and the Romanov Prophesy by Steve Berry which was pretty good.

Anyone recommend a book? I prefer series since I go through books so fast.

I've heard good things about the Baroque Cycle by Neal Stephenson. I've read other of his books and enjoyed them. I think its a series of three books.

Have you read all of John Grisham's books?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Nah, I am not a big Grisham fan since the couple I have read tend to be a little too legal for me. I liked Clancy and Ludlum better because they are more technical with action.

Lindsey Davis if you like murder mysteries. she sets them in ancient Rome.

They take a while to get through but her storytelling is great.

Try the Dirk Pitt series by Clive Cussler. Great reads. Lots of action and adventure, with humor. Good stuff.

I read the synopsis of The Gunslinger and it sounds pretty dark. I typically read for about an hour before I can fall asleep so I dont want to be having zombie nightmares...

Do you like military series?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Well if you have read the Jack Ryan series, that is the kind of miliary action I like. I dont think I could read a book that is all about one campaign and nothing else.

OldMan I actually forgot to include that in my recently read list... I read Trojan Oddessy (I stole the copy from my dad's library) and enjoyed it.

Do you know what the first one in the series is?

I agree with the Dirk Pitt series by Clive Cussler, however i'd suggest the Mitch Rapp series by Vince Flynn or anything by David Baldacci.

Mitch Rapp is the baddest man in any novel i've read. CIA assassin type stuff. Very fast paced and easy to read.

Oh yeah CGH I read one Mitch Rapp and cant remember which one. It was pretty good. I ended up picking up a Dirk Pitt at Barnes and Noble today. It was Vortex something or other and it said on the top of it that it was "The First Dirk Pitt Adventure"...

Ok so I just read that Cussler Men and it looks like it is a prequel. That works.

Thanks everyone!
