the clip on the news showed how the media likes to create the news as much as it likes to report it. Nothing happened except a disagreement with someone. Again the media being the typical vulchers that they are.

I hope that you don't really believe that the media created it this time. It's been a major story of late. It's not hard to see why they thought that his booking was news worthy, so they sent a camera crew.

Rogers was the idiot that couldn't deal with a camera around for 5 minutes. How hard would it have been for him to just ignore the damn thing? Too hard for him I guess.

I don't see anything newsworthy about the exchange that took place today.

i have never in my life seen a camera at a police booking before. the camera had no right to be there and the city made a mistake by allowing it to be in the police department. i dont blame him for getting upset. just be glad that he didnt rip it off his shoulder.he has every right to get angry, it is HIS privacy and HIS life. and he doesn't want it filmed, they should respect that.

Ironically, part of the reason he's in a bad mood cause he wants a contract like that next year.... He's making no where near that right now.

If the guy asks the cameraman to leave him alone they should. Why should he have them in his face all day long? If you had some ahole following you around all day with a vieo camera and asked him to leave, yet he did not, how would you feel? You would call the police and have him locked up. It is one thing to have cameras around when getting an interveiw, another to just have them hounding people constantly.

That said, he should not have attacked them. They need a new policy to keep the cameras away from the players more.

txagg07...how many police bookings have you seen??? They are there each and every time a high profile person or case gets brought to jail. SOmetimes the clip makes the news sometimes it doesn't. But when the alleged criminal runs his mouth in front of the camera during the booking process, it def. gonna make the news.

Using steriods and getting in big brawls with other players will give you less punishment than throwing a piece of equipment on the ground or getting upset with a media person...makes a lot of sense.

To recap, you can cheat and beat the **** out of someone, but you can't be mad or damage cameras.

I have never seen a person getting booked on TV. I have seen them go into the court house to get booked, but not the actual booking. I think its BS that he is being charged with a class A misd., and I think its just as stupid to make a big deal out of this. I had to turn off the ticket this morning, because Greggo wouldn't shut up about Kenny Rogers.

to the person comparing k.r. to bill gates: these are two completely different circumstances. bill gates doesnt get in front of 40,000 people every 5th day in order to make his money. kenny rogers makes his living by entertaining people and being in the spotlight. bill gates makes his money by coming up with new ideas behind closed doors. so yes, since kenny makes his money by being in front of people, he does lose a little bit of privacy that normal people might take for granted.

Can someone explain to me what in the hell a cameraman was doing videotaping the booking procedure????? In this instance, you're damn right the media was trying to make news by attempting to goad Rogers into doing something stupid. I can't believe the police actually allowed this moron with a camera into the room while this was happening.

And how does Rogers telling off a cameraman "You must be really proud of yourself" warrant newscoverage? Celebrities tell off the papparazzi with language a helluva lot more colorful (complete with fingers to accentuate their point) and no one bats an eye.

Rogers is an idiot, no doubt. But, the media is now attempting to poke him with a stick just to see what kind of reaction they can get out of him.

Is it any wonder that the public perception of the newsmedia is at an all-time low? The media rates lower than lawyers to many in the general public these days.

Well, Bill Gates does not perform his job in front of 50,000 members of the general public each night.

And last time I looked, Bill Gates didn't go out of his way to assault a cameraman who was doing his job, with the permission of MLB and the Rangers. It wasn't like he had the camera jammed up KR's nose. He was filming players coming out of the dugout. Funny that none of the other players had a problem with it.

If the cameraman would have followed him into the bathroom or to his home or come up to him while he was eating in a restaurant, then talk to me about invading his privacy.

Kenny is an idiot. Plain and simple. Beyond actually assaulting the cameraman again, engaging the guy in a verbal exchange was one of the stupidest things Kenny could have done yesterday. He is definitely in need of some anger management help. In light of everything that's happened and the s***storm Kenny has received because of it, it's amazing that he can't control his anger for just a few minutes and keep his mouth shut during the booking. Nothing he said to the cameraman yesterday was going to change the situation he was in - which by the way was no one's fault but his own.

The guy is a sensitive little wuss who lets way too much get to him. That's why he melted down when he played for NY. Every little thing gets under his skin and he reacts.

And for what it's worth, I've seen plenty of folks being booked on the news. Kenny also better be ready to see them again when he has to make a court appearance.
