Will order my ring in the fall, and I'm pretty sure I want the 10k (cheaper, a little harder) but still deciding on antique or the solid gold finish... any help?

Just get the solid gold and if you don't like it, just don't ever wash it. It'll antique itself.
i will def. agree with the 10k YG, have you seen the white gold ones? they look like crap after 1+ days, crap on the level of high school rings
Wear it long enough and you will never know whether it was antique or natural. My dad (58') is now gold and smooth. The only feature you can see is the diamond.

Go antique and let it wear down to a natural finish over time. It seems like you see a lot of natural finish rings out there but go Ol Army and get antique.

10k, yg, and antiqued. anything else would be uncivilized.

Go for the gold!! It's more distinct in my opinion.

White gold antiqued 14k. Anything else and you're a 2%-er...

I got the 10k natural finish because I wanted it to be as bright and flashy as possible. There should be no doubt that I'm wearing an Aggie ring. All the t-sips and tecktards can eat it. That's right... EAT IT.

Nobody's ever shown me definitive proof that that antique was ALWAYS the norm.
Some of the 20's-30's rings looked like they'd never been antiqued ever.

My ring has lost it's original antique finish and I use iodine to restore the black.

Well, two posts before you, someone posted info from the Aggie Ring Site stating that all rings were antiqued yellow gold before the "70's". So, it would stand to reason that any ring from the 20's and/or 30's was antiqued yellow gold. And of course you wouldn't be able to tell now that a ring from the 20's or 30's was antiqued. My ring is just a little over 12 years old and you can barely tell it was antiqued.
