There's actually a pretty dang good BBQ place right on the north side of I-10. I think it's close to Vidor, it's not far once you cross the border.

It is Burr's BBQ. Pretty dang good. As for good restaurants in Vidor, I think you are better off going to the Market Basket on 105/I-10 and cooking for yourself.

When I had to work there I either ate from the gas station or drove to Beaumont.
There was this place on MAin St., North of I-10 I think (toward the First Baptist Church). Just before you get to the railroad tracks it is on the right. You can get baked potatoes with anything you want on them. I would usually get chopped BBQ. Other than that, I would just suggest driving into Bmt. because there are a ****load of restaurants there.
I can still bench 3 of you as long as you haven't gotten really fat. Family is good. The little one is about to be 3 now. Time flies.
Were you maybe thinking of the BBQ Depot? I think they had a train or something like that in near the restaurant... I haven't been that way in a while, but I remember that they had some good BBQ.

Never been to Hico... I was in lake city Fl. We have pictures of that place too... horrible food but it was fun get our pictures taken there.
