This was one of the worst movies ever. Obviously I knew it wouldn't be critically acclaimed, but I didn't think it could be this bad!
- Supposed to be in Ft. Lauderdale, but "Leblanc Island" with huge boulders could not be in Florida. Horizon along beach was hilly, more like Virgin Islands than Florida. They go down street to party and they show South Beach, which is a 45 minute drive. Stock footage of underwater sharks doesn't match footage from boats. Location-wise this movie was retarted.
- Shark fins in the distance looked like small sailboats and further out the fins were just as big, so from this perspective the fins in the distance were huge sailboats!
- We had to wait until the end of the movie for the idiot "ruffies dealing" J.T. guy to die, and even then we didn't get to see him getting eaten alive.
The sharks moved so slow and in perfectly straight or curved lines. Contrast this to the real shark scenes in "Open Water".
- The local "too poor to afford college" good guy was such a cliche.
They had Kathy Baker (Edward Scissorhands) and Bryan Brown (Cocktail) in it to try to make it look like it might be good.
I would say that they should have standards to prevent movies like this to air on primetime network television, but then my standards weren't high enough to just turn it off!
This movie sucked so bad! It will be a classic on that Jim Bob show where thay make fun of crap like this.
