Beer or Tequila?

Depends on the brands of each available to you.
Personally, if all I had on hand was Bud Light, I'd stick with just about any tequila. But if I had some Newcastle Brown or Bass, well, the tequila would have to be really high quality stuff.

Is it a reposado or anejo? If so, I'd go with that.

Avoid tequila at all costs unless it's in a margarita. It is vile stuff.
Of course, I say that because the only time I drink tequila is when I've already had a bit and it, inevitably, pushes me over the line.

Good luck! I agree that Tequila is rough stuff. I'd vote for the beer anytime. 
dont do beer first if youre gonna do both
Beer is for p******, go for the tequila. It taste better. Keep in mind, that if you drink too much, it won't taste good coming back up.
