I started dating this girl a couple of weeks ago that wants me to try out with her. Has anybody been through this experiece? What all is involved?

Apparently, some really crappy costumes.

Be careful trying out with the girl whom you are dating. It can put a strain on your relationshop as dancing becomes "practice" more than just fun.

On tryout day, be prepared for a lot of downtime. You wait in another room as other couples dance for the judges. Bring cards, dominoes, ect.

have you tried out before? Is it a fun experience? how good do you have to be?

My wife did......but I have no idea what was involved.

However, I do know of a few people who tried out with their significant other, and broke up.....having to still dance as partners.

Yes, they made the team and then broke up (for reasons having nothing to do with the Wranglers).

But if they wanted to perform....they performed together.

I think they liked it other than that.

You better start practicing a lot if you want to make the team. Once you are on the team, it is a big dating circle.....so don't get too attached.

What all do they look for? Is it just how well you can dance together? Do they really all date each other?

1. Are you on step with the song?
2. Do you know how to dance? (dance moves and the transition back into normal dance position).
3. Are you in proper dance position?
4. Are you confident in your partner?
5. Can you learn quickly? (this is after you made it past the 1st round)
6. Can you teach others?
7. Do you have a good personality?

There are many things they look at.....just plan on a long day and dress decent.

That is how it was a few years ago....I am not sure if it still goes on nowadays.

1 out of every 20 sounds about right. In order to tryout you must attend the informational. Being on Aggie Wranglers takes up a lot of time, you may want to consider the demands on your time before you even start practicing.

A friend of mine is trying out. He's been going to alot of practice sessions. The was he talks, they are mandatory, but I'm not sure.

Does anybody remember that little Aggie Wrangler (about 3 years ago or so) girl that looked like some alien mutant?

You have to be VERY good to get on the team, it is extremely competitive (maybe 3 out of 20-30 couples that try out get on the team). I thought we were damn good, and I had a good friend that was on the team, but still didn't make it.

i was going to try out but i never was able to get the pants on so never did.

Fatass.
