inside or out?

i really don't know much about a lot of the buildings because 90% of my classes during my last two years at A&M were spent in the same three buildings on west campus. sometimes it felt like i went to Texas A&M - West Campus.

Heldenfeldz...then again my feelings may just have something to do with me flunking Biology in there.

Oh yeah, Blocker is pretty bad. Had chemistry S.I.'s in there...ughh.

Biological Sciences Building East. Without a doubt the ugliest building on campus.

O&M finished construction in 1973.

I would second Fermier and add Thompson as well. As an ENTC grad my classes revolved around these buildings. Fermier is horribly designed, and has that "two-person elevator of DEATH".

Thompson has been through hell. It is constantly being remodeled/retrofitted. Last semester i was there (Spring 04), a stairwell was sealed to extend an office on one floor with the stairs remaining on the lower floor until it was made into a closet. For a few weeks, they were adding extra support beams in the basement/lower floor. There are other doors/stairs leading to nowhere or the roof. There is one door on the roof labeled at one time "solar lab" that was seen across a window from one of the labs. We wondered if we had to get on the roof to access that lab. The numbering system is totally weird.

Of course that is ENTC and ID for you, off in our own little world from the rest of the engineering depts.

I think Thompson was put together by blind people...good luck ever finding a room there.

I could do without the whole Commons-Modular southside area.

I second that the I.D. buildings are poorly designed. However, the biology building is really ugly. The Peterson building comes in a close second.

Every building put up since 1970 looks like it belongs in East Berlin. Hate to say that.

I have to agree with Fermier and Thompson being the ugliest buildings with the ugliest room being Ferm 304 which is waaaay long overdue for a renovation. It's embarrassing whenever we had industry people visiting. And with the labs that take place in Thompson, it almost makes sense that it looks like crap. I think I remember fitting about 8 people into the Fermier elevator. It was pretty funny and terrifying at the same time.

The building next to the SCC looks like its about to fall apart.

Mickey Mouse Building

langford is definitely one of the least attractive building on campus. and i get to live all my college career in there. a close second is the O&M building, one of the worst laid out buildings i've ever seen and very out dated.

Anyone actually been inside the Administration Building? I found it creepy as heck.

Every time I look at the O&M building I get this image in my mind of it as a dormant robot death machine coming to life and sprouting limbs, like a transformer. Out come the chain guns and the rocket launching arms. It then goes on a rampage of death and destruction.

Seriously though, it looks like a killer robot. I have an urge to start a band called "Giant Killer Robots" so I can put a picture of the O&M building on the cover of an album.

It seems a lot of the older buildings on campus are 'creepy as heck'. Anything built in the 70's is pretty ugly.

The thing I don't like about Heldenfelds is the lecture rooms. I think the desks are closer together there than in any other building on campus.

I remember when I showed my son where one of my classes was at while driving by the O&M Building. My son asked if the part on top was for landing airplanes.

i think Blocker is pretty ugly (the rooms are way too small inside) but maybe it's because all of my classes are in there.
