For the record, uncovering for yells was well active while I was a student @ A&M (1993-1998).
I do not agree with how the Uncover Police have deemed it necessary to be jack@sses about the uncover tradition, but at the same time, traditions are what sets A&M apart.

I believe that war is wrong and I want to have a picnic on the lawn of the MSC. I'm sure everyone is going to just let it go, right? Because apparently traditions can be ignored if you don’t agree with them.
There is no scientific proof that you can yell louder when you hump it. Therefore, from now on, I will stand tall when participating in yell. In fact, I’m going to bring a giant electronic megaphone because that has been proven to make voices louder.
And from now on, I’m not going to say Howdy to people on campus. What do I look like, some kind of cowboy? I don’t even know the person, why should I be friendly?

If you do not agree with something, do something to try and change it. If you do not, then by all means, keep b*tching about it when it comes up EVERY YEAR, EVERY GAME.
I had my chance when I was a student and I made my voice heard when I needed to. I am now “old army”. Students, now its your turn and your right to make a difference. All b*thcing ever does is make you sound like a freakin’ crybaby.
