  • Still waiting on an offer from the last interview I did to get sent out
  • Probably not moving but ya know, it would be great to have all that sorted
  • Halloween costume stuff is done, I'm going as Lady D from Resident Evil (minus the whole being 9 feet tall part / with 18-24" claws on right hand) / partner is going as a fallen angel
  • For real we need to figure out something to do on actual Halloween too since it's a Saturday and the kiddos will be with the ex

Office. Plumber coming for the kitchen sink. Looking for ward to the front coming in tonight that will get rid of the awful humidity (worse than normal) here. High for tomorrow is, what, 70? Saturday will be a fantastic weather day for football despite the buzzkill product on the field.

  • Laundry today. Sheets already done.
  • Cheese stick, goldfish and Diet Coke for breakfast. Not the best lol.
  • Work work work. Currently dealing with an odd situation but looks like its wrapping up.
  • Pedicure and travel work this evening.
  • Hubs came home today!

Back still killing me today. I am thankful to be living in a single story residence. From 2013 to 2025 I lived in places with stairs. Stairs aren't my friend... have to climb them to get to my car.

Have also had fleas jumping on me all day. I treated both cats on Tuesday, and they both seem free of them at present. I'm hoping they don't get reinfested before I can get the carpet powder down. Going to have Benny clean the place up tonight as I'm not up to it. Once he's picked up some trash and vacuumed, we'll be able to treat it (and the sofa). Will wash sheets on Saturday as that's my regular day to go to the laundromat.

Went to bed early after a late night the day before.

Had Vietnamese food for dinner.

Vietnamese food tried to come up for a visit around 11:30pm for some reason. Don't know what that was about.

Went back to bed until just before alarm.

Got to the office for a 7:15am meeting and my wife texted and said her car would not start. I offered to come pick her up but she said she would just work remotely. Guess I am going to get a new battery after work.

Need to watch some YouTube videos to make sure her much more modern than mine vehicle doesn't have to have anything reset or reprogrammed by the dealer after a battery swap.

Those AGM batteries are freaking pricey!

Ready for the cool front.

This is my 25 year old suitcase. It's held up relatively well to years of the cats' abuse.



I didn't zip it shut when I got back from Branson. My calico has practically lived in this thing for the last three days. She jumped in there for the first time when the fleas started dying on Tuesday. Strange little creature...

Getting rid of fleas in the house is such a painful process. Deep cleaning is needed every few days for about two weeks to make sure you get them all. The issue is the eggs. They take up to about that time to hatch and are hard to get especially if you have majority carpet. They can get inside couches, deep in the linings of your mattress, everywhere. Really can't half ass it otherwise it will be an endless cycle. Just a warning from someone who has gone through it.

It was divert here or run out of gas. I think they made the right call.

I think they had to switch directions for the runway at DFW and that caused a backup and we didn't have enough fuel to orbit until it was our turn.

Good thing about DFW is you can fly direct pretty much anywhere so when stuff like this happens it's just a little annoying and it's not like I'm missing connections. Lots of folks on this flight are kinda screwed.
