How long do you want to ignore this user?
We have YouTubeTV but have found we just don't watch it much. With taxes and fees, it's up to about $90 a month. We're looking for a cheaper option.

ESPN and local channels is about all I watch on YTTV. I can watch local OTA. but i didn't realize you can get ESPN outside of cable.

My wife watches a few shows that she can get through an app for about $20 a month.

Anyone else signed up for it? Pitfalls I should know before signing up?

TIA

If you just want to watch SEC football it's good. Sometimes the streams can stall but it got better last season.

YouTubeTV has a new sports-centric package that is less expensive. I will probably go with that because I want to watch sports on other channels. The Big Ten and Big 12 for example don't have a lot of games on espn.

I'm in the same spot, except that I dropped Hulu (not YTTV) at the end of college baseball season. I'm going to get Sling Orange + Sports Extra for football season. That's $56.99 per month for all the college football I want.

I will miss FS1, but would have to spend $19 per month more to get it. I won't miss the Big Ten Network. Those are the only sports channels of note (at least for college football) that I'll be missing.

It's still $65 a month ($55 for first year).

I add it to our Disney bundle during FB season to watch some games on ESPN+ (like big12) and the NFL network and then drop it at the end of the year. I still have access to the other ESPN channels the rest of the year though.

It's fine. I had it last year for a couple of months. The DVR could be kind of glitchy at times compared to YoutubeTV, but it did the job. It's probably better now since they've had several months to improve it.

I have ESPN Limited. It only shows me the games the Aggies lose.

The first paywall was ESPN+, now they have ESPN Unlimited.
Next its probably gonna be something called ESPN Ultimate.
Its never going to end.

We have to get through ESPN Penultimate before we can get to Ultimate.

Below are the only pay channels that I want. I have an antenna and Tablo TV that give me all of the off-air networks.
ESPN
ESPN2
ESPNU
ESPNNews
FS1
ACC Network & ACC Network Plus
SEC Network & SEC Network Plus
Big Ten Network
TBS
TNT
truTV (for the first two round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament)
Cinemax

I resent that I'm forced to pay for dozens more channels that I do not care about in order to get these.

EDIT - And with Sling Orange + Sports Extra, I won't get FS1 or Big Ten Network. Don't care so much about BTN. I will miss FS1, but it would cost $19 more per month (and lots more channels I don't want) to get it.

You don't have to.

You can ditch them and watch replays of stuff on YouTube later and remember that you have guitars and you can play those instead.
