Has anyone with a two piece Aggie Ring, before 1998, have the crest/seal come loose or fall off and have to send in to Balfour for repairs? Mine was made in late 1986 and graduated in 1988.

If yes, were they able to repair or did they have to remake your ring?

Just sent mine off to Balfour and the received it yesterday and now waiting to hear from them.

Thanks Wolfpack. I spoke with the association but until I get details from Balfour not sure what will be needed. The crest/seal did not come off but is loose.

My wifes spilt at the bottom. They remade it. Fair chance you don't get the same ring back. She'd already lost one so she was less concerned about it not being original. I feel the like form says they might just send a new one.

Class of 92 here. About 10 years ago the crest on my ring broke off. Balfour fixed it. No charge.

If it is needed, contact them about it and let us know what they say

VAN1041 - did they resolder the crest back on or replace? From what I read they normally do not resolder because they could not warranty it that way. I expect a call from at some point per the person I did speak to at Balfour.

I did a while back (class of '86). No issues. Highly recommend for those whose rings are in the mid-to-late 1980s.

They recase as a single ring. They claim to use the same gold (but who really knows and does it really matter?)

I just know that I sent mine off to be resized and I specifically asked them NOT to recondition the ring. Got it back and fit great.....looked brand new.
