My car got broken into last night

Bad day yesterday, first we got stuck in a hailstorm outside Denver that pummeled our three month old car for 30 minutes non stop, then this morning I woke to find my other car's door open. We live in the safest place in the world so I was a little bothered that something happened.

I walked out and the first thing I noticed was muddy prints and scratches all over the outside of the door. On the inside the thief got more mud on the seats and gauge cluster and opened the center consul to find the only piece of food in the car, a single granola bar, which he (or she) of course ate. The mud prints are huge and have really long claws so I guess I should just be happy the bear didn't get stuck inside and completely destroy my car.

Makes you miss the old chevy handles of the early 80's where you had to use your thumb to push the button. Try that, Yogi.

My nextdoor neighbor has a newer F150 that has been broken into once. They changed out the door handle to remove the lock that is so easy to break. The second time the truck was broken into, the thief just broke the window to get in. Thieves suck

Sorry to hear this, but why people lock their doors is beyond me

Bears don't usually check the handles anyway.

Safest place in the world = car broken into by ravenous bear. Does not compute.

No, they'll know there's no way an owl could do that.

Works against cyborgs, also.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But, it's still on the list.

Neighbor says he got him on the critter cam before he walked up the driveway to my car. The perp is about 3 feet tall, weighs 150-200 lbs, dark brown skin, and goes by the street name boo-boo. Probably armed, quite dangerous, do not approach the subject. Neighbor thinks it is the same deadbeat who was in his garage getting raw chickens out of his fridge a few days ago and I am 99% sure he is the one who gets drunk off of 3 day old hummingbird sugar water in my feeders..

I'm still not understanding how the bear got in. I know they can learn to check handles, so was the car unlocked?

Drives me crazy that $50k+ trucks are so easy to break into.

Yeah yeah they'll just break the window

But still, make the door locks better ford
