Good walk last night

Odd for me to have sloppy Joe sliders for dinner, but they were tasty

Speckled cow kitty woke up way early and started screaming about something. It was not appreciated

Knock out some stuff today. Was going to take today off but had an important meeting get added to this morning's calendar late yesterday so here I am

Taco will be later than usual today

Pizza tonight

Won $8 on the Powerball. I can turn those winnings into millions. Or zero. Or $8. Not sure yet

I had a good interview this morning. It's for an Oracle Solaris admin job, and I don't know Solaris, but they aren't going to find someone who does in Columbia, MO. It's absolutely obscure. I was able to intelligently discuss general UNIX concepts. This would be interesting as I was contacted by a corporate recruiter in New Jersey and asked to apply for this. I wasn't actively looking. The job is actually "30% or 40% Solaris" and mostly Linux. Corporate uses Solaris. They use Linux in-house. I know Linux very well.

Waiting for my new power supply to arrive. A couple of weeks back I bought a new power supply and a new graphics card. I ordered the wrong power supply and returned it. The second PSU is supposed to arrive tomorrow, at which point I can finally install my fancy new GPU and get to gaming/AI stuff.

Nice! That's the sweet spot card for your use cases.

I briefly had a 5090 last October that I impulse purchased at MSRP off the shelf at Best Buy. It blew my socks off. Spent way too much money on it and the manager was not too happy when I showed up two days later to return it.

  • Overslept because I failed to put my phone on the charger properly and it died
  • Parlor Panthers had way too much energy this morning
  • I think my next arranging project is going to be "Fratelli Chase" from The Goonies. It should be fun and marketable.
  • Turns out my client made some pretty major changes to my mariachi arrangement to accommodate a diva singer that completely destroyed my intent, so I'm less likely to accept a job from them again.

You could probably have made a profit off of it if you'd just sat on it. Serious shortages these days. Thanks data centers.

  • Didn't go to work today. Feeling under the weather but slowly getting better.
  • Here's to hoping my washing machine is working properly again. It's been giving errors that basically mean it wasn't draining properly. Well hubs pulled it outside and the drain thing was completely clogged (not even sure how some of the things got down there through the holes).
  • It is convenient having my momma 4 houses down cause when it stopped working mid-cycle yesterday, I just carried it down to her house lol.
  • Whole lot of nothing today but rest.
  • Maybe read some tonight.

-Rufus did not want to wake up this morning and was upset when I got out of bed

-I am swapping home offices with my wife since she is using her primary primary office more now.

-That means organizing a ton of books and swag.

-The upside is that I will now have a couch, tv, and fireplace. I will also have a large table for important business( assembling Lego sets).

-Warmer weather means apples are ripening early so we might swing by a local orchard this weekend to pick some.

-Have fun out there folks!

I heard word of an employee that has the Taco Bell/Taylor Farms gut issues.

Not fun.

A co-worker was at the doc with his son and asked his son's doc if they are seeing much of this and he said yes, quite a bit.

Nope - said I hoped things worked out for him but I'd made my decision. It helped that a) I had already signed acceptance on another bid, and b) that this guy was at the bottom of the list of potential bidders.
