I had a 1993 Ford Ranger do that to me in 1999. I was on my way down Beltway 8 to a Toyota dealership to look at new Tacomas. F-ing Ranger transmission decided to grenade itself at 75 mph just past Westpark just to spite me one last time. Getting towed into a dealership does not enhance your negotiating position or the value of your trade in.
