Saturday, and I'm wide awake by 5:00AM for no reason at all. I must be getting old?

-Sat-ur-[butt-down-all]-day should be reserved for watching college football. I'm headed to the shop to get some work done.
-Also, how did work become my hobby?

Another kids swim meet. I would rather be watching soccer. I hate that my wife believes in volunteering. It least it isn't hot today.

Slept very late for me waking up about 9:15 Eastern time after a bathroom break at 0500. Sometimes the body just says, "I need more sleep". Colombian Supremo coffee is helping, of course.

Went to see live music last night. First guy was finishing his last set when I arrived but said he would play one more for me before he packed out for the night.

I asked him to play "Sober" by Tool. He does an aggressive acoustic version. He cranked it out. I tipped him, of course.

Left there and went to Herschel's at the Stella. The guy playing there was good. Some old dude was hammered and kept getting up to set a bill on the edge of his open guitar case.

He ended up tipping $80 over the two sets. I don't know if he knew how much he was giving him.

Gloomy day today. Thunderstorms in store today and this evening. Cold front tonight. Sunny and mid 70s tomorrow. Looks like we'll have three days of open windows weather in June!!

Benny is playing in a weekly online Minecraft tournament today. The goal is simply to live to next week. I hope he does, or he'll be unbearable the rest of today.

I will be spending this rainy day watching baseball. Will start with the Cardinals at 1, and then switch the the College World Series at 2. Actually, will probably go to the den, where I have two TVs and watch both games.

The Saturday thread started way early! Haha.

-Awake at 5:50. Alarm didn't go off til 6:10
-4 softball games today. Won one, lost one so far.
-Kiddo pitched 2 innings game 1, struck out 4, walked 2, but no earned runs. Lost 4-5.
-Second game hit a double with 3RBI. Wohoo. (And also a single). Won 6-3.
-Little toasty out here. Luckily the breeze is decent at times.

I would like to say that I miss the long days at the softball fields with my daughters…I just don't…I miss hanging out with them during the tournaments…but the heat and sometimes the cold, I do not.

Went to Rally House to buy some WC gear with my volunteer discount.
Got my kilt and Scotland jersey pressed and ready to go
Going to the KC FIFA Fan Fest to watch the Scotland v Haiti match later tonight
Was talking with my mom who said she wished she had a chance to see Scotland in a World Cup match (She's from Glasgow and in her 70s).
I just bought tickets for her and I to see them take on Brazil in 10 days.
