I never knew that cashews grow like this. There is only one seed per cashew "apple". Apparently the apple is also edible, but the cashew is poisonous until it's roasted.
Weird. What other foods grow oddly?

I've tasted it in Singapore.

It was not as bad as I expected.

BUT...there are signs on all the subway trains saying NO DURIAN...

I was just in the Philippines and tried it. Looks horrendous, but really just taste like a hard boiled egg. Took me about a dozen beers to work up the courage though.
