Yep, quality of ingredients has slowly crashed towards bargain basement school cafeteria grade slop. The queso used to be fairly legit, and now it is the soupy runny mess that is nothing like 20 years ago.

How is Rosa's changing? I realize their prices seem to go up every 6 months but they have added 1 item to their menu this century; chili verde. Portions and quality are still the same as ever.

The one near my office in Houston closed down a while back, to be replaced by a Raising Cane's.

As much as TC sucks, it doesn't suck as bad as Cane's.

I've been to Rosa's once in my life. The tortillas were impossible to chew. Needed a knife to get through them. Never went back.

La Taqueria was the bomb! It deserves a second chance.

TC trajectory downward the moment they stopped using real eggs for their migas and mexicana breakfast plates.

Then for a while they stopped making the shredded chicken taco…..thankfully they brought that back.

Their flour tortillas are still very good.

There is a new chain in San Antonio that is really good. For the life of me I can't remember it, but the chain is better than TC.

Remember Blue Pesos? Even though it was a knockoff it could be better at TC at times.

Las Palapas isn't new, they've been around forever.

Taco Palenque is so Spanish that if you order in English they can't understand you.

I love Taco Cabana and it is about the only fast food I eat. 2 shredded chicken tacos or the chicken quesadilla and I am on my way. They have been closing 2 for every three around San Antonio io lately.
