Ah yes, the lights out date. Being raised strict Catholic and having not married by the age of 20 I discovered the lights out date. Severely lower the standards, turn off the lights and it's all great until she's still there in the morning.
Yours sounds pretty rough. Although I too went through that growing up in a hardcore Catholic family. When the time came to graduate from high school and turn 18, the Army was a lot more appealing than four years under my parents' thumbs in college.
