My grandma turns 100 today. Wasn't sure she was going to make it, to be honest.

• stormy AF last night, so my little muffin just had to hop up on the bed and sleep between my pillow and the headboard
• She'd also keep doing that thing where she'd shove her nose under my hand because she wanted pats.
• It looks like I may be welcoming a Pomeranian into my house soon, and the kids are already all kinds of pumped up about it
• Really glad I brought my bucket bag today - it's canvas and kind of water resistant, and huge so my umbrella fits inside
• First meeting of the day is about to start so let's goooooooo

Absolutely! My friend is getting her cleaned up and rounding whatever stuff she has up and I'm not sure when she's coming over. I think of it as rescuing the poor thing - she has 12 animals right now (cats + dogs, not including children) and her place smells just a lil' bit to say the least!

I turned in the keys to my old place last night. That felt good. I have four or five unused cables after the move, but had to buy a $12 proprietary power cord for my Samsung TV. Cables and moving are like socks and laundry. You never seem to have the same amount when you're done.

Life at 750 sq ft is fine for the most part. Benny's new bedroom is pitifully small, but he's really made it work. My room is a good size... I do wish my closet were bigger. Just a teddy bear and his guitars.

My place is 980 but I mostly use about 750 square feet too. I have a spare bedroom and a spare bathroom. Mostly keep guns and reloading supplies in the spare bedroom.

Interesting story on how I got that teddy bear. It was my mother's when she was a child, then mine. I moved away, and it stayed at my parents'. By 2009, Mom was dead, and I was estranged from my father. He sold their house in Beaumont and had an estate sale. A neighbor bought my teddy bear and mailed it to me in Bryan. It just showed up on the front porch one day with a note. One of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me.

-we had storms last night too but they're nothing like Texas storms
-I have done nothing today except work and heat up a Trader Joe's bambino pizza

Where's the gun safe?

I really like it! My third and by far favorite apartment since moving. Hopefully they don't recheck my income because I'm pretty sure I now out earn the cap I'm finding too that the longer I live here, I don't mind not being in the craziness of Manhattan - sort of best of both worlds
