• Found a dove that flew into a window right above the front door this morning and it was sad, but I was able to get a dish towel and relocate it to some bushes before the kids came out.
• Seriously looking forward to dropping the 4 door car off to get the A/C repaired because ferrying around two kids in the Celica is getting old.
• The only way I can figure mom handling me and my little brother in her two door '80s Sentra was that I was able to sit in the front seat so only one kid had to flip the seat forward and hop in the back
• Bunch of actual work stuff to take care of before a big meeting later this morning so off to do that!

First day working at the new place. Feels much like working at the old place.

Took a couple of days, but the cats are adjusting. Poor Lucy cat spent the first night sleeping in the back of Benny's chest of drawers. She was on my bed when I woke up this morning (her normal spot). The calico is begging for attention as I write this.

Don't like my new Breaktime as much as the old one. It's entirely self-checkout. Coffee seems to work just as well though.

Going back to the old place after work to get the last of our stuff out.

• Woke up a few times, but overall, decent sleep.
• Not too many meetings today. Hopefully I can clean out the inbox and catch up on a few things.
• MasFajitas CS is better than MF in Caldwell.
• That's about it.

What is this up to these days? When I was in college, it was something like $2.95. The waiters at Olive Garden *hated* it when anyone made that order.

100% flat and the spare 'sploded. was actually my husband driving, but i came and switched cars so he could go to work since I'm off today. warranty should cover it, but we'll need a new spare and my day will be mostly gone

Slept late until about 0830 this morning. Fed cats, brewed coffee, had a light breakfast and then headed to Tuesday morning Bible study. Put trash out and made up our bed while the wife did laundry. Our cleaner comes this afternoon so we are chilling inside. Loving the weather: nice, 90s in the daytime. Our new living quarters have beautiful landscaping and flora. We figure we are the fauna.

Well that's no way to spend a day.

I've had a 100% flat tire that I was able to air up and limp to Discount a couple times. I just stayed on side roads and didn't try highway driving.

But if there wasn't an air pump in the car or the tire won't hold air, that's not really an option.

Your husband owes you big time!

Don't mean to meddle, but do you guys have AAA? They have been very helpful for flat tires, dead batteries and other things.

yeah usaa roadside is taking care of it. if the spare wasnt blown usually roadside is faster than this but if they dont have something to replace it with...

My son broke down in the way to an exam a few years ago. He called CSPD to come get a patrol vehicle behind him to help make people aware and get them to move over.

USAA roadside assistance said it would be about an hour and a half before their preferred towing service could get there. He was on a call in Hearne (T's & P's for that guy).

The cop said he could get someone there in 15 minutes but we would have to pay out of pocket. It was only $80 instead of something outrageous so I paid it.

We couldn't really sit in the road for a long time. The cop really didn't want us to do that either.

luckily, he'd made it to a gas station. if I'd been sitting on 69 instead of at the shell, I'd have been... much less patient.

I'm at the tire place and the car is on its way to me now. breadsticks are so close I can almost taste them!

$9.49 and the amaretto sour was $6
and discount tire warranty is still the best money I ever spend ever.

these threads depressed me SO HARD as an undergrad, now I'm like, look at all these fun deviations to the routine people get to enjoy once they actually work and do adult crap!

Here's my Uncle Mark update for the day. He came with me to run errands and I'm sitting at Northwest Bank while he goes in and closes his account. He told me to wait in the car or else I'd be embarrassed because he's going to sing his goodbye to them.

I took a photo of this box of plastic utensils that he wrote on. That says:
Fork's
Kniets
Spoops
I said "spoops" out loud and laughed and pointed to the box and he quietly said "spoons" so I know it wasn't on purpose, I think he really meant to write spoons.

Why is he mad at the bank?
