How do you red-blooded Americans like your patties?
Smaller than the bun?
Or
Sticking out past the bun?

Why would you ever want smaller than bun?
if its a poor slab of meat, you need to be able to drown out the taste with all the fixins that only the bun can contain.TriAg2010 said:

So, how did these turn out?
Recipe sounds good, but the temp/baking time seems like the buns come out burnt. Or maybe just the top edges?

You are bordering on making a frikadellen. That don't go around these parts, Kraut.AgFan1974 said:
My go to quickie burger:
- onion soup mixture
- dash of wrchistershisierisher
Anyone else have a good quickie?
Also have gone meat only and add smash seasoning while grilling. Good but not great.

If you want to cook burgers on a gas grill, the best thing you can do is to get a cast-iron griddle to put on the grates. You'll get a better sear and it prevents flareups from the grease as well as undesirable flavor from the burning fat. You can always give the burgers a quick kiss on the grates once they're done if you want a little taste of the fire.
Damn near anywhere you can get Bubba burgers you would be able to buy 80/20 ground beef. Do that instead .
