  • Mt Rainier is really cool to see in the distance
  • Some poor guy a couple of rows ahead of us had to endure a 350 pounder who had the window aisle and got up 3 times to the bathroom

  • Coparenting counseling this morning. Group session so I get to be in the same room as the ex for an hour
  • As much as I want coffee with a little extra to it, not gonna do it
  • Next to last day of school for the kids, which has been really confusing with all the half day stuff they're doing towards the end
  • Angel likes living life on the dangerous side, sleeping between the rollers on my office chair and the wall right now
  • She trusts me more than I do

Morning.

Was sleeping really good when alarm went off
Gathering props for Fan Expo today
Have to go to post office today to pick up a package they say they couldn't deliver even though I was home. I would rather take a bat to the shins than have to go.
Last day of work before a 5 day weekend

- Starter on my Hondy is being a jerk. Pretty sure it's been going out for the last year but I've been putting it off. Now I'm afraid to drive anywhere.
- Waiting for the call back from Uncle Mark's mechanic rec who told me, and I quote, "don't take your car to a dealership, they'll rape you in pricing." Jesus Christ.

A lot of shops charge $80-120 for an oil change anymore. I did my truck a couple weeks ago for about 40 bucks with full synthetic and a Toyota filter.

I wouldn't be upset by it. While completely distasteful/uncouth/classless/whatever to mention rape, it sounds to me like a guy talking truth and trying keep you from wasting your money.

EDIT - Uncle Mark should start posting on TA. He seems like a pretty cool guy.

The worst part about living alone is that I don't have anyone else to blame when my tools get misplaced.

She had a bad experience with a mom and pop shop and can't get over it.

Drove from Conway AR to our home in GA. Stupid southern drivers: no turn signals, fail to turn on lights during heavy rain, merging traffic is an insult to them and fail to move over when car is disabled on side of roadway.

Totally hear you, there are two kids here but they don't touch any of the tools. If something goes missing it's on me.

That said, one of my best Amazon purchases was a half dozen 10mm sockets!

I took my car to the mechanic with the foul mouth that Uncle Mark suggested. He went to high school with Uncle but they didn't know each other. He told me a story of when they were at a basketball game in high school and Mark stood up and started yelling (by himself), "Hit him in the peepee! Hit him in the peepee!" Sounds about right.
