Wasn't a great day of residence hunting. I missed out on the two most promising listings while I was trying to get out of the first lease that I signed. A couple of the larger places I drove by were downright sketchy. Who congregates/drinks/smokes in their apartment's parking lot? I don't want to see that every day.
I did walk through a small two bedroom that is charming, in a quiet neighborhood, has a one car garage, and comes with it's own storage unit (guessing it was about 10'x12'). I'm going to sleep on it overnight, but I think I'm going to sign the lease for it. The garage and storage are a huge plus for me as is the quiet neighborhood.
I'd be going from 1350 sq ft down to 750. For so little room, it's remarkably well laid out. I think it all could work. The master bedroom is large, which is important because I work from home, so it's going to be doubling as my office. Benny's room is tiny, but all he's does in there in sleep. He spends all of his time on his computer, which will be in the den.
Need to sell more guitars to pay for another security deposit while I wait to get back my original security deposit for the lease that has been voided!
