Delimex chicken and cheese taquitos. Melt some extra cheese on top and cover in salsa. I went through a summer where I ate that meal pretty much every day for lunch. No telling how many taquitos I ate.

Suggest you give HEB's family size meat lasagna a try. I was a fan of the Stouffer's until I tried the HEB one.

Every fine dining restaurant has a chicken dish. How many have a turkey dish? There's a reason for that. Chicken is the superior fowl. Now if you would've said beef, I'd have to consider it.

Nickleback has multiple platinum albums. Just because a lot of people prefer something doesn't make it superior. It just means a lot of people are idiots.

As far as beef, I've yet to find a frozen pot pie that used decent quality beef. If they did, I'd agree on that point.

Nobody likes chicken. They like whatever it's seasoned with because chicken (white meat anyways) has no flavor of its own.

No argument on quality of beef but in the fowl category I am correct that chicken is superior to turkey. Case in point: world BBQ championship has a chicken category not turkey. If I was making home made pot pie I believe rabbit is the pinnacle, or perhaps beef ribeye.

Smoked. Turkey. Leg.

You ever come across a stand selling smoked chicken legs?

And if you really wanna talk superior poultry, the correct answer is quail. Quail is what chicken wished it tasted like.

I'm going to go ahead and say it. Fried chicken is one of the most overrated foods in America and I am tired of pretending it's not.

Quail is f'ing delicious but I always feel terrible because you essentially have to damn near commit genocide just to feed a family of four with them.

Costco Fish Sticks.

Best Fish Sticks ever, and I don't even like Fish Sticks. Made from a very mild, non-fishy tasting white fish filet. I didn't even want to try them at first, but I'm glad I did. My wife doesn't even like fish, but she likes these.

One of our favorite 'throw it in the air frier' quick meals with a little salad and some garlic bread.

That place was a very famous place on the Drag for decades. Generations of tu students used to go there in the middle of the night and drink coffee and talk. It was open 24 hours. They moved it out on I-35 because the value of the land on Guadalupe was too high for it. It cratered in the new location and never came back.

Same here, back in the day. They also used to have a G/M Steakhouse Breakfast/luncheonette on Lamar right next to 6th Street I used to go to for burgers. Right across from KVET Radio station.

Also used to really like 'The Tavern' just North of there on Lamar. Right across from the original location of Whole Foods Market. Also Katz's Deli, and The Hofbrau.

When they closed Hut's Hamburgers on W 6th is a day that will live in infamy. I remeber going to that place when I was a fish in the Corps. It opened in the '30s. None of the owner's family wnated to keep it open, so they closed back in 2019. I hear they have another location in Bergstrom Airport. I doubt they taste the same.

Breakfast of Champions Baby! Thousands of rednecks/Oilfield trash have purchased these 'world class' level delights late at night on the way home from a bender on payday.

Wish I had one now, but alas, the closest Allsups is hundreds of miles from here.

Never understood the love for Allsup's burritos. I mean, yeah, they're good, but I don't think they're better than any other gas station fried burrito. The only thing that really separates them is that they offer options beyond beef and bean.
