I do on the 5 to 10 times a year that I have to wear dress shoes. Weddings and funerals. Don't need one when I go barefoot or wear flip flops.

Wait a few years and throw those shoes away.

I wear boots everyday unless I'm fishin. I have not had a pair of dress shoes on since my mom made me wear them on Easter Sunday to church when I was 12.

So are you guys actually saying you wear boots into the office and eschew dress shoes? What was is like growing up in Muleshoe?

Exactly right. Worked in Miami, SA, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Kansas City, Tulsa and Long Beach and always in western boots…..and pressed wrangler dress pants and lots of times in pressed and starched jeans and always pressed and starched shirts….and still do.

I'm a big shoehorn guy. It's night and day difference when putting on any pair of shoes. These neanderthals putting on shoes with their hands are probably still carrying unwheeled suitcases through the airport and doing complicated math on battery operated calculators.

I just bought a pair of black ostrich ropers for my eldest son's wedding (Class of ''20 to Class of '20). I will wear will new suit (last one was in 1997). I said "no f'ing way" to dress shoes.

I am torn as to whether I need a shoe horn with a handle or boot hooks or cedar shoe trees, but I'm thinking that at 59 I don't really GAS.

Get you some boots and pull them on and have wife take off if needed. Done…

Yeah I wear boots to the office everyday with blue jeans and a button down.

When I was younger, I had snazzy dress shoes but my first visit to a rain soaked construction site made me realize that's stupid. You also look like a complete tool on the job site dressed that way. So I wear some everyday boots and wear Lucchesses on special occasions.

If I have to give a presentation or something I MIGHT wear a suit, but even then I can usually get by with just a sports coat.

Business attire has progressively gotten a lot more relaxed in the 20 years I've been in the workforce.
