On National plan a vacation day I am planning one

Sushi with some former colleagues last night. Rain stopped, so dog got walked. More networking.

- Day 2 of restoration. Day 1 didn't make the progress they'd hoped. Today will be better.
- Gnarly doctor appt today involving my downstairs mixup.
- Then a haircut for my public hair.
- Gonna try again today to join the local rec center / gym for $18/month instead of paying $100 to the nearest gym.

I had a good initial interview with an outfit on Friday and should hear something this week either way. Also have some pretty strong networking contacts that are on the lookout. I've got severance through the end of March and have a pretty good safety blanket, so I'm not terribly worried for the foreseeable future. Alas, I cannot do pool installations.

Ever since covid I just take care of the public hair the same time as everything else.

Got my STD results in, I'm clean

No meetings this morning, so I'm playing. I'm setting up a Samba server on a Debian VM. I gave the VM two network adapters like I'm supposed to (first one bridged and the second one NAT), but Debian/Network Manager won't let me control the first device. It's grayed out and labeled 'disabled'.

Frustrating, as I seem to have a perfectly working Active Directory PDC that can't be accessed by any other machines. I've done this before, and it worked...

Been on some rowdy lookin' terlet seats lately. I needed some reassurance.

-I woke up late and it threw my entire morning off.
-tried a new Indian place last night and I think it will make it into the regular restaurant rotation.
-Started a new book and I am just not feeling it. I might just ditch it for a different one.
-With the Chiefs going to the Super Bowl, there is definitely a buzz around town. It's kinda neat.
-The Diet Dr Pepper is hitting just right today.

Another cold, sunny day, but as we exit January, a warming trend, reaching around 60 degrees goinging into first week of February.
