If you could have two possessions from your youth back in new condition, what would they be?

I ask for two, because a car will likely be one of them. Since I don't need or want another vehicle to maintain and insure, mine are simpler:

1. My Panasonic boombox from 1985
2. TI 99-4A Home Computer with all the joysticks and games.

I would have said Atari 2600, but I can probably find one of those on ebay pretty easily. I still have all the cartidges I owned. And for everyone about to say "my old girlfriend".... that would cause problems for me with my current wife at home. Also, rose-tinted glasses.

1977 Star Wars toys and any of my elementary school metal lunchboxes.

I'm not terribly into possessions, but I think I could hock both of those for some $$$.

Two things that immediately come to mind that we had.

- Jon boat with a 5hp Mercury
- 1953 Willys Jeep

I spent tons of hours in both of those. I was probably 9-10 when my grandfather would let me take that Old army surplus Jeep out driving by myself wherever I wanted to go. Times were different way back then.

My dad had a good friend who was cleaning out his mom's house (his childhood home) after she passed. He found a Mickey Mantle rookie card he had put in the spokes of his bicycle I'm sure he wishes he could have that back.

My Honda 70 three-wheeler. I practically lived on that thing as a youngster with no neighbors & 80 acres of forestland and trails to explore.

I had a giant basket of hotwheels cars, little toy men, and related toys (green army men, cowboys & indians, etc). Probably a couple of hundred little men & cars at any given time. I spent countless hours playing with those things.

I had just about every GI Joe character and vehicle produced in the early to mid 80's, including the USS Flagg Aircraft Carrier. I bought most of them with money I earned doing chores, mowing lawns, etc, but the USS Flagg was a Christmas gift. We didn't have a lot of money so, looking back, I have no idea how my parents were able to afford it. Unfortunately, we played with them very hard and nothing survives today. Well, maybe I should say "Fortunately" because we actually played with our toys. I think many kids today are more focused on collectability and don't actually play with the stuff they get.

I played the heck out of mine but never broke the rubber band like my son did.

But I did have the parachute melt all over the chandelier at the president's house on campus.

It wasnt a Pepsi/Honda 3 wheeler was it? My uncle had a grocery store & Pepsi gave him two 3 wheelers. He gave them to my dad. My brother and I wore those things out.
