How much money did you make in kickbacks from your contractor?

-Slept like poo. Awake from 4-5AM. Dozed back off. Got up at 8.
-2 loads of laundry. Packed for a week.
-Spending 2 nights, possibly 3, in a medical center hotel in Houston. Moms having foot surgery in the AM.
-Just got to the hotel. Was hoping to avoid the rain but they didn't happen.

We started our winter storm with a couple tenths of an inch of ice. There's about 3" of snow and sleet on top of that and a thin coating of ice (freezing rain came back) on the very top. Expecting another band tonight bringing 3" to 5" of more snow, and then it's done.

Shoveling is going to be a b*tch. Steep, north-facing driveway, and the ice on the very bottom is going to be treacherous.

Neither does YoYo Ma, but he did it.

We trombonists are always finding ourselves playing cello music, particularly when we program anything Baroque, so I think this will give me a chance to play beautiful music that challenges me to play smoothly with excellent intonation with technical skill and high range. Given the length, though, it would have to replace both Jabba and Suite of Negro Spirituals, meaning my closer won't be Go, Tell It On the Mountain.
