We paid to pet them at snake farm. They're delightful.

They are really cool but I don't want to own one.

I met this guy years ago when I went to the headwaters of the Amazon in Peru:


He would swim out to meet the boat when you arrived, then swim back with you. When the boat would leave to take you on an excursion or back to the port, he would swim with the boat for a good bit then turn around. He was a lot like a dog - always wanted to come up next to you and beg you to pet him, rub against you when you walk, beg for food, etc. Quite a friendly chap, but very messy, and he ate a lot. Pass.

P.S. The Amazon sucked. Certainly not Charlie's fault, but it was probably the worst vacation destination I have ever been to.

A massive river with many undeveloped areas of land on the banks, teaming with wildlife that wants to kill you, was not a good vacation?
