I can't imagine ever spending money of stuff like this. But if you read up on the industry and listen to the women who make their living in this manner it's not just the sexual gratification, especially for the men dropping serious coin on this stuff. It's the relationship aspect of it. These women are good at developing connections with their customers, even if they are superficial on their end. Some of these men will spend the money to talk about their day, how life is going, big decisions they face, etc. So yeah if is a little sad that they feel like that's the only way to have that outlet in their life.

That being said, if someone wants to spend their money that way I don't have a problem with it. People spend loads of money on the WWE, Season tickets for Aggie football, or various concerts. I wouldn't mock them for that even if I think it's a dumb waste of money. This isn't all that different and just because it's sexual in nature doesn't make it inherently bad.
