Yes shampoo and conditioner.
I have a beard shampoo and a beard conditioner and use them every two or three days; I think the brand is Viking Revolution, but I'm not married to it or anything. I don't use beard oil or wax, though I have thought about wax for the mustache. Brush it every day. Every five or six weeks, I go to the barber and have my gal trim everything up. She's been cutting my beard for two years and hasn't let me down, though her taste in music is questionable (as I'm sure she'd say about mine).

Whatever washes down off my head. Some days a little conditioner. Super low-maintenance. Trim with a 3 blade every couple of weeks.

I'm afraid it would take attention away from my mustache. My eyebrow already gives it enough competition.
Use Viking Revolution Beard Wash & Conditioner
Advice I got from Johnathan Van Ness.
1. Wash your beard with a moisturizing or antidandruff shampoo.
2. Apply a liberal amount of squalane or hemi-squalane oil to the beard.
That's it.
Most beard washes just tend to dry out your beard and the skin beneath it. Beard oils smell great but they don't do much to condition the beard above and beyond the squalane oil. I typically wash with the shampoo every other shower and apply the oil every day. It keeps the beard in check and conditions the skin on my face which helps prevent flaky/dandruff beard.

In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
Finally
Just For Men beard Wash to add back some black for a salt and pepper look !

30 year beardsman here:
1- put water on it when you need to
2- use motor oil or orange goop on it once a week, or whenever under a vehicle
3- after spending quality time with the wife, you'll notice a fragrance emanating from the beard that repels other women- this is a good thing
4- spend 15 mins every day peacocking your beard toward the sun, for vitamin D
