Some what related…I found Pocari Sweat at HEB. Loved that stuff when I lived on Okinawa, 42 years ago. Haven' actually tried one yet, bet my childhood memory is going to be disappointed.

She is in Japan. This is a Japanese sponge cake-coffee cream snack (sort of like an adult Twinkie, only better) that she can appreciate the supply chain for.

I initially came over a little over 10 years ago thinking I would stay for around a year, but then I met my husband and plans changed.

My niece went over "for a year or two" as an interpreter……5 years later she's still there.
