I love it when businesses don't care about a dress code; just don't look like dirty mess. Although I suppose this is easier to enforce when there's a dress code because it allows for more objectivity. Dangit. I hate it when logic works against me.

I work for an Electric Power Utility. This is pretty much the dress code for Non-Field Employees. The field guys have to wear FR shirts, FR pants and steel toe boots as they should since they working in the field as Lineman.

Agreed. Never understood the "privilege" of getting to wear jeans when my dress pants are way more comfortable. Stretchy golf pants that look like dress slacks are the best for the office.

I wfh now though so it's a tshirt and shorts virtually every day.

As an aside, I will never understand the psychos who wear jeans around the house even if they don't have plans. How are these people comfortable on the couch with jeans on?

You have to buy the stretchy jeans, much more comfortable than regular jeans.

WFH so tshirt & gym shorts most days. On the odd occasion I go to the office, typically wear khaki shorts or blue jeans and a golf polo.

Retired before WFH became a thing. Just working around the office casual slacks and a polo were acceptable. If meetings with the public was on the schedule then coat and tie were preferred. Casual Fridays were always shorts and Hawaiian shirts.

WFH most of the time so gym shorts and t-shirt (with a polo or button down and blazer stored just off camera).

When I go into the office, I wear jeans, boots and a button down or polo.
Consistency: It's only a virtue if you're not a screw-up.

Used to be a suit for me, every day.

Now slacks and a shirt. Thankfully. I do wear a suit to church though.

Jeans and company polo. I wear new tennis shoes as well. I see more tennis shoes being worn in the office.

Stretchy chinos are even more comfortable though. I have stretchy jeans too but wear them maybe once per year when I randomly feel like it. I wear the same chinos with tshirts on my own time that I do with a polo to work. I have some nicer pants for when the occasion calls for it, but these are my every day.

Overalls and a polo shirt. Tire Wholesaler, so I don't have to deal with the public.

Jeans, khakis, slacks and a company polo or button down. They give us branded jackets and hoodies also. Boots in the field, tennis shoes in the office.

While I appreciate the tradition of dressing up, I also see it is pointless from a practical standpoint and clothing design and technology has advanced substantially over the last century. There is little reason to be needlessly uncomfortable or not dressed for practical purpose.

Nice jeans and button downs. I like the idea of wearing a sports coat, but seems pointless to only wear it from my truck to my desk.

Jeans, polo and Skechers every day. Once or twice a month I will wear boots. Work in an office for large company.

I don't think I am smarter when I dress up and I don't give a flying flip.
