I am in first class today and it still sucks.
You're either 6' 8" or LOLfat. There's no way a reclining seat in first class is encroaching your space enough to whine about it.
Neither. I've lost a bit of weight.

But yeah domestic FC is no really all that great.

So you're short?

Ok, but not nearly tall enough to actually have a problem with an airline seat reclining

... you are a jerk. Always.

The person behind you will always judge you to be a jerk if you recline your seat.

If you truly are a jerk, you won't care.

The seats recline like two inches. OP is an idiot.

When your knees are already into the seat in front of you, that 2" makes the difference between bearable and miserable.

I'd vote for the presidential candidate who funds the technology to lock the lean back function if seat behind it is filled by a human bottom.

I never understood this. They are designed to be reclined and it only goes back like an inch. It's not rude at all to recline your seat.

Seats were designed to recline. Seats were also designed for a minimum 20 inches clearance. Unbelievable it's down to 14 inches on most flights.

I'm 6' 2" with long legs. My knees touch the seat in front of me. I have had my knee caps almost broken several times.

I at least look behind me to see who is in the seat. Kid small adult, OK. Someone like me, I'll skip it!

People don't want more room. Every time airlines come out with an economy section with a little bit more room for a price increase the flying public still overwhelmingly pays for the cheapest option.

Just because collectively consumers prioritize cost savings over more room does not mean that they don't also want more room. In my experience, the cost/benefit is not there.

Exactly. I want business class when I go to Europe, but the thought of paying $2-3k extra for it, I just can't. Like I could buy a high quality bed for that much, I can't justify paying that much for 1 night of sleep

Airlines made it so you can not recline into emergency exit rows, however I feel if your row has more legroom than other rows ie bulk head, emergency exit, then you are a certified ******* if you recline into the rows behind you.

they go back farther than that and it's definitely rude if you don't check who's behind first. I've had someone who kept trying to recline into my knees before and only thought to look behind the seat after several minutes of this when he wondered why he couldn't recline.

Good thing this passenger reclined his seat.
