Looks like a prime grade ribeye cut about three inches back from the chuck. Look at that star far and the rib cap.

It was a great steak. For added perspective my friend raises his own beef on ground that has been in his family since 1883. He has his own dry aging set up and knows how to grill to a medium rare.
