It is also skinny-nascar weekend in Austin. My hostel in circle stone is full of middle-aged Scandinavian men all wearing their matching futbal team travel sweat suits.

Took my mom and aunt and wife and son to dinner last night and had a good visit. My mom and aunt are in town to see my uncle for probably the last time. He's got terminal leukemia.

It's hard to see a man you still think of as a career military officer be in this kind of shape. His mind is still sharp at 82 and he is ready to be done with all this.

Busy day ahead at work unless things change today. People are not good at making decisions so the day could always change.

I'm awake.

• Up at 6:00 to drop off my man for a work trip
• Some road raging B in a big 'ol hurry FAFO that an F-150 is always going to win against a Jetta
• I need to practice
