This is correct for family.
Also correct for family men is the "bro" hug which consists of the same but only one pat on the back.
Greeting women family members is incredibly complicated and sometimes includes strategic hand placement and kissing on the cheek only, unless that one cousin is at the family reunion and you are from Louisiana or Arkansas.

My parents were depression babies whose respective parents were Eastern European Immigrants. Growing up as a kid in the 60's it was common for me to kiss my mom and dad on the lips when I went to bed. Till the day she died I kissed my mom on the lips.

My first wife had a huge issue issue with me kissing our daughters on the lips when they were growing up in the 80's and early 90's. So much so that she shamed our youngest daughter from doing it when she was around 5 years old.

Thinking back on it I don't have any issues with it...but can't imagine kissing my grown daughters or grandkids on the lips today.

sister-in-laws / nieces- side hug

brother / brother-in-laws / nephews - bro hug

FIL - i see him so much, really just fist pump, maybe a side hug

one of my wife's cousins - she seems obsessed with hugging, it's nothing personal - she does it to everyone, but I just know she's always going to go in for the full frontal, extended hug

This is a part of my life I've kind of screwed up

I was pretty awkward about it like through college and into young adulthood and people who know me know I'd really rather just shake hands than all the variations of hugs and stuff.

So they all just shake my hand but as they greet everyone else it's bro hugs all around. Which makes me feel like the odd man out.

Now I don't care and I appreciate the affection especially now that we've been out of college for so long, when I do see them I really don't mind a hug with my good friends like that.

So I've kind of had to be like "no it's cool now I don't mind anymore"
